Quadcopter Optimization: New Carbon Fiber Arm Design Extends Flight Time
In our ongoing efforts to enhance the performance of our quadcopters, the team has achieved significant advancements. The latest design features custom carbon fiber arms made from carbon tubes and 3D-printed components, replacing the previous injection-molded carbon fiber structure. This redesign not only optimizes the weight of the quadcopter but also enhances its overall performance.
With the new design, each arm’s weight has been reduced from 71g to 23g, achieving a total weight savings of 192g. This weight reduction has allowed us to add two additional Molicel P42A 3.7V 4200mAh Li-ion battery cells to the battery pack, each weighing 72g. This upgrade significantly improves the quadcopter's flight duration, making it better suited for extended missions and delivering a more efficient flight experience.
This improvement reflects our commitment to innovation in material application and structural design and demonstrates our dedication to continuously enhancing product performance. Moving forward, we will continue to explore advanced technologies and optimize our designs to offer lighter, more durable, and efficient drone solutions to our customers.
